A Library for the Pastor-Theologian

by Rev. Andre L. Pickens

This library is designed to be useful to the pastor in his doctrinal and expository preaching ministry. This library reflects my philosophy of ministry that the goal of exposition is to explain and apply the doctrinal truth of the text in accord with the analogy of the faith. In other words my hermenuetical methodology is grammatical historical theological exegesis. The meaning of the Biblical text in its historical, grammatical, theological context is the message of the sermon. The discipline of systematic theology aids the expositor in seeing the Biblical text not only within its historical and grammatical context, but also in light of the overall teaching of the Scriptures on its subject matter. The Bible presents a coherent self consistent system of truth. And to ignore this system in our exegesis is to arrive at an interpretation that will not hold up against the overall Biblical message. This collection has 83 books in 22 categories.
