Fathers of the Church
Fathers of the Church: A New Translation is a series published by the Catholic University of America Press providing fresh and authoritative translations of important works by ancient Christian writers typically referred to as the "church fathers." Each translation is carried out by an expert scholar on the patristic author in question and is accompanied by an extensive introduction to the life and theology and that author, as well as the work being translated. While the series includes works from various literary genres (such as theological treatises, poetry, and letters), many of the volumes provide translations of ancient biblical commentaries and homilies from major figures like Origen, Jerome, Chrysostom, and others.
