Rev. Andre L. Pickens

Rev. Andre L. Pickens was born in Detroit, MI., and educated in Detroit Public Schools. He is an avid reader and has a personal library of 3000 volumes. Pastor Pickens has been preaching the Gospel since he was 17. He has pastored two Baptist Churches and worked in the Christian book industry for 15 years as a manager, theological consultant, and expert in the field of Bibles and Biblical Reference works. The creed he lives by is that God is sovereign, the Bibe alone is the Word of God, and Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world. The Love of his life is Katherine Renee, and the passion of his life is preaching the Word of God. A compelling expositor of the Scriptures, Rev. Pickens spends most of his time in his Study in sermon preparation and theological study. His favorite preachers are the puritans in general; Stephen Charnock, Charles H. Spurgeon, Joseph E. King, Gardner C. Taylor, Benjamin S. Baker, W. A. Criswell, William A. Jones, and B. M. Palmer in particular. His favorite theologians are Augustine, Anselm, John Calvin, John Owen, Francis Turretin, John Gill, James Pendleton, John L. Dagg, Charles Hodge, A. A. Hodge, James Henley Thornwell, Herman Bavinck, Robert Reymond, Gordon Clark, Carl F. H. Henry, James M. Boice, John M. Frame, and B. B. Warfield. Rev. Pickens is the senior pastor of the Covenant Bible Church in Warren, MI., which is a standard bearer of Biblical preaching and doctrinal integrity in the community.
