First of all, this commentary was not written by Ellen G White. She died in 1915. Her writings concerning certain passages or topics are referred to in the comments section after each chapter and in the supplementary material at the end of the volume. The writers are a large group of scholars and editors who worked together to prepare the volume as it was published. In addition to comments by E G White, there is a listing of sources and authorities that were consulted in the research necessary to bring the SDABC to completion. Though I wasn’t there, I’m sure that they labored under the desire to bring forth the best commentary on God’s word and to continue the reformation that begun several hundred years previous to their writing. And the reformation continues. I would recommend this commentary to all who are interested in a readable commentary that promotes the love of God as revealed in Jesus our savior.
