The Pseudepigrapha and Early Biblical Interpretation
in The Library of Second Temple Studies
Publisher T&T Clark
This collection of studies examines the function of the Old Testament in the writings that make up the so-called Old Testament Pseudepigrapha, with the purpose especially of comparing in what ways New Testament usage of the Old Testament is similar or different. This collection underscores the importance of comparative analysis, showing that assessment of the use of the Old Testament in the writings of the New Testament cannot be adequately appreciated apart from comparative study of its use in writings from the same period.
