Sklar, Jay A. Leviticus. ZECOT. Zondervan Academic, 2023.

This is an awesome commentary on Leviticus. His passion for Leviticus and its significance in the cannon is clearly evident. I seems like Sklar went all out in providing students, pastors and teachers an outstanding resource. Sklar also wrote a commentary on Leviticus in the Tyndale series, and material from that commentary is incorporated in this newer edition. For this reason, I’d recommend his newer ZECOT commentary over the older TOTC.
Webb, Barry G. The Message of Zechariah. BST. InterVarsity Press, 2003.

Webbs discussion of the closing chapters of Zechariah and their connection to Christ was truly inspiring! This commentary is well worth adding to your collection. Webb is a great writer and he brought a lot of clarity to what can be a confusing book of the Bible.
Boda, Mark J. 1–2 Chronicles. CBC. Tyndale House, 2010.

After diving into Boda’s commentary, I have to say that I’ve really enjoyed it! It turns out that Boda studied Chronicles under Raymond Dillard and had H.G.M. Williamson as a doctoral supervisor. I find the commentary to be wonderfully readable and scholarly. I believe it should be much higher the “best commentaries” list for 1-2 Chronicles, so I’m leaving a review. Get it. You won’t be disappointed.
