A balanced NT collection

by E. van Wijk

In search for a balanced library I ran into this website. My roots are in the Nederlands Hervormde Kerk (Dutch Reformed Church). I think it can be called a bit conservative. It seems to me that the exegesis and the hermeneutics of the majority is not sufficient anymore. It's only convincible for the ones that are allready convinced. This is why I started to engage myself in more critical and liberal work. In the search for the right books, I have tried to be informed on the views of (coservative) evangelical scholars on the one side, and tried to be informed on the views of critical and liberal scholars on the other side. Because so much of the OT and NT material is narrative, I also purchased commentaries that focus on literary exegesis. To help myself in preperation for sermons, I have purchased some books that focus on the application of Scripture. I prefer new books. You will not find many books published before 2000. This collection has 63 books in 24 categories.
